1.Kondoa geothermal site
Kondoa Geothermal Field is found in Kondoa town about 158 km from Dodoma city centre. The climate is semi-arid with rainy seasons from December to mid of March. The site is accessible by road and the hot spring is protected by a roofed structure and supplies nearly 3 million liters of water per day to Kondoa residents
The hot springs extrudes conglomerates which overly gneissic basement of the Usagaran System along the NNE-SSW trending fault.
2.Mponde geothermal site
The field is located in Chemba district, Dodoma region and is covered by extensive wetland and ponds with thick vegetation. Hot springs are nearly submerged by river flows.
Mponde hot springs occurs in a granitic rock basement, being situated on the site where NE-SW and NNW-SSE trending lineaments / faults intersect each other in which becomes favourable condition for hot spring.
3.Takwa geothermal site
The field is located in Takwa Village in Kinyamshindo ward, southeast of Singida Town, approximately 160km North West of Dodoma municipality. Extensive wetland and ponds with thick vegetation are the commonest features in the area. It is accessible by rough road in all seasons, Dodoma – Singida road via Kwamtoro. The road that connect Chemba district in Dodoma and Ikungi district in Singida
Takwa is found within a granitic rock basement along which the major NE-SW and NNW-SSE trending lineaments / faults seem to intersect each other
